Yes it is true that search engines such as Google can read anything within flash, but the same is true for images. You add title & alt tags to the flash animation in the exact same way you do an image. This then Search engine optimises the flash animation file in the same way.

So we recommend that you do not add flash animation on top of your existing images and text balance within your website but look at how flash animation can replace your images and enhance your website.
